Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 on 28th Feb and soon after Realme launched the Realme 3. Redmi Note 7 is priced 10,000 Indian Rupees whereas Realme 3 is priced 9,000 Indian Rupees. So, is it worth to spend extra 1000 rupees on Redmi Note 7? Hey guys I am Gautam and in this post, I will try to make it easy, for you to decide on whether to buy Redmi Note 7 or Realme 3.
Redmi Note 7 comes with Snapdragon 660 processor whereas Realme 3 comes with Mediatek Helio P70 processor. Both are pretty neck to neck when it comes to CPU tasks but the major difference comes with GPU. In terms of GPU, Snapdragon 660 performs much better than Mediatek Helio P70 processor.
You get Full HD+ display on the Redmi Note 7 whereas on Realme 3 you only get HD plus display. In other words, display on Redmi Note 7 is 1080p whereas display on Realme 3 is 720p.
Redmi Note 7 has a screen density of 409 ppi whereas the screen density on Realme 3 is only 270 ppi. The more the pixel density, the more sharp and clear the screen is. So, clearly Redmi Note 7 has much better display.
Redmi Note 7 uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection whereas on Realme 3 you get corning gorilla glass 3 protection.
So, when it comes to display, clearly, Redmi Note 7 is way better than Realme 3.
For rear camera, Redmi Note 7 has resolution of 12 megapixels but it comes with pixel binning technology which combines multiple images to give you an image of 48 megapixels whereas Realme 3 comes with 13 megapixel rear camera.
Redmi Note 7 has better pixel size of 1.6 than Realme 3’s 1.12 pixel size. Higher pixel size means higher clarity.
Both the phones are equipped with 13 megapixel selfie camera.
For camera software optimisation, Xiaomi is much better than Realme.
Realme comes with 4230 mAh of battery whereas Redmi Note 7 comes with 4000 mAh. But Redmi Note 7 supports Quick Charging which is missing on Realme 3.
Redmi Note 7 comes with glass back and plastic frame whereas Realme 3 is all plastic build. Glass feels more premium and nicer in hand than plastic.
Redmi Note 7 is thinner whereas Realme 3 is lighter thanks to the plastic build.
Redmi Note 7s come with USB Type C port whereas Realme 3 comes with Micro-USB port.
Redmi Note 7 supports Bluetooth 5 whereas Realme 3 supports Bluetooth 4.2.
Redmi Note 7 does support IR Blaster which is not present on Realme 3.
Both phones are running on Android 9 but Miui on Redmi Note 7 is way better than Color OS on Realme 3.
So, which phone to buy? Redmi Note 7 or Realme 3? I think the decision is fairly simple. :)
For the record, Redmi Note 7 is the clear winner. By spending another 1000 bucks, you get a lot more.
There are hardly any points that can go in the favor of Realme 3. Anyways, the favourable points for each phone is on your screen so you can decide for yourself which phone suits your needs the best.
